Playsuits in a typical British Summer

June 22, 2015

Hello lovelies!
So I was hoping to wait for decent weather before taking some fashion blogging pictures of this lovely playsuit, but then I realised that living in northern England, I had absolutely no chance of a sunny summers day to wear this so wanted to style it in a way where I wouldn't freeze.

Playsuit: H&M
Cardigan: New Look
Boots: New Look
Bag: New Look

Oops this ended up very New Look heavy. I paired this with this cosy massive white cardigan. I got this in size Medium as I love me an oversized baggy cardigan and I love how it warms up this summery playsuit making it wearable in typical British weather. Using a white cardigan to warm up a summery outfit means it still looks light and summery while stopping you getting chilly.

Onto the playsuit, this was a bit of an impulse buy in H&M. I saw it on the rack and just picked it up without trying it on but I love the way it looks and fits. It's not fitted but the elasticated waist gives it some shape and means it's flattering for most figures. If like me you've put on some holiday pounds this is very forgiving as it skims over the stomach and nips in the waist. I absolutely adore the blue and white pattern as it makes it summery but still wearable on colder days.
As a tall girl I was surprised how well the shorts fit me, they're floaty and flattering and not too short (I'm pretty tall and always end up with issues with playsuits being too short). Most importantly, the loose shorts are so comfortable.

I love me some black boots. They go with pretty much everything and while this outfit could be paired with some more summery shoes, it was bloody freezing and raining today so I opted for boots and wooly socks (mainly because they're a size too big). I quite like how they make the look a bit more casual and wearable.

You can also find this look on the feels app in the next few days, alongside more of my ootd's. Find out more on their website and download the app for more outfits! You could also be spotted as the next new face of your fave brands.
