My Haircare Saviours: Schwarzkopf BC Oil Miracle Gold Shimmer Treatment

August 15, 2014

And so the second installment arrives! This time I'm talking about a haircare esssential for anyone with dry hair, and that is my favourite intensive conditioning treatment!
Not going to lie the name of this product is a bit of a faff, so I'm going to just call it BC Oil Treatment because life's too short!

Anyone with dry and frizzy hair will know that sometimes run of the mill conditioners won't cut it sometimes. Which is when you bring in the big bad boy conditioners with words like 'treatment' and 'intensive' in the name. The BC Oil Treatment is just that.

When my hair is feeling dry and fly away and like a big frizzball, ordinary conditioner just doesn't even touch it. I've tried my fair share of conditioning treatments and normally they feel like a bit of a waste of money if I'm honest. This one, while not being a complete miracle, is definitely one of the best I've tried.

Schwarzkopf BC Oil Treatment contains the must have ingredient for hair conditioning: argan oil which is great for generally improving the condition of hair.
But let's be honest here, in a hair product our main aim is to get hair LOOKING good, not just feeling good which is why this is one of my faves. The conditioner comes out such a lovely gold colour and contains shimmery glitter bits which make your hair looking so shimmery and shiny. Especially if you have blonde or ombre hair as it really emphasises blonde colours due to the shimmer in it without going too hard on the glitter.

It works best on not completely wet through hair so I tend to dampen my hair and then slather this on 10 minutes before my shower and then rinse it off before shampooing as it's a heavy conditioner so can need a wash afterwards to stop hair looking flat.

This definitely improves both the condition and the look of my hair which is all I can ask from an intensive conditioner to be honest. So miracle? Not quite. But it is a damn good conditioner if you have dry hair in need.

Price wise this can be pretty pricey for an intensive conditioner, I first got it from for £11 for 150ml which is hardly budget range. You can get it for a tenner at Fragrance Direct however, and depending on your timing they sometimes sell the MASSIVE salon style bottles (750ml as pictured) for a complete bargain price, I got mine for £4 so it's worth keeping an eye out for a bargain as I know I can't afford to fork out a tenner for a tub.

  5. That shimmer oil looks interesting though to be honest I'd be afraid of it because of how it looks, my hair is so dark. But I'll consider anything to fight the frizz! :-)
